Dog and Cat licenses

As per state statute N.J.S.A. 4:19-5.1 et seq. all dogs in the State of New Jersey must be licensed.  Per the Township of Winfield, Cats and Dogs must procure a license annually.
​Residents may renew 2023 Dog & Cat Licenses through the Township Office weekdays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Or through mail. Please return ALL required documents to ensure timely processing.

​Licenses must be renewed no later than March 6, 2023 or a late fee of $5.00 will apply. Summons will be issued beginning March 31, 2023. (This fee does not apply to new pet owners in 2023.)

Fee Schedule:
Dog Spayed/Neutered $11.20 (proof is required one time only for records)
Dog Not Spayed/Neutered $14.20
Cat $10.00

Rabies inoculation valid through October 31, 2023 is required. Exceptions are only made when a letter signed off by your vet stating they will not overlap vaccines or certify other medical reason to not inoculate. 
Free Rabies Clinic is hosted by the Board of Health during the month of November. Please check back for current schedule.
